The Chamber serves its 1,000+ members through programs and services that enhance and improve a favorable business environment within Greater Waterbury. Main Street Waterbury Main Street Waterbury is a grassroots, community organization for downtown revitalization and historic preservation. By improving the physical appearance of downtown Waterbury, promoting its architectural and cultural assets, organizing volunteer initiatives, sponsoring events, and fostering public and private partnerships, Main Street Waterbury is working to rejuvenate Waterbury's downtown district without comprimising its character or heritage. Downtown Merchants Association The Downtown Merchants Association is a free forum for all merchants in Waterbury's central business district to share ideas and work together to improve our mercantile area. The association strives to unite the Waterbury community through updates on upcoming events and opportunities to participate in making downtown a cleaner, safer and more lucrative place to be. Neighborhood Housing Services of Waterbury, Inc. NHS offers rehabilitation loans and technical assistance for homeowners in target neighborhoods of Waterbury as well as homeownership education and counseling. The commercial loan program makes loans and grants for storefront improvements in low-income neighborhoods and commercial areas.
