
ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new 3,000 square foot Elmwood Community Center on October 11, 2006. Construction began in September 2005 with total costs of $757,000.00. The building was designed by BL Companies of Meriden, Connecticut and constructed by the Michael James Company, LLC of Stratford, Connecticut. The lower level of the center consists of a 1,300 square foot community activity room that can be divided into two smaller rooms of equal area with a folding partition, a kitchen and restroom facilities. The 850 square foot second floor consists of two private offices and an open area suitable for cubicles or workstations. Click here to view photos.
